California Speedway October 16 , 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
Andretti Green Racing came very close to perfectly capping a 2005 season that saw Dan Wheldon carve his face onto the Borg Warner and simultaneously capture the series championship. As the IndyCar season drew to a close at the California Speedway fans were almost treated to another exciting wheel-to-wheel finish reminiscent of last year's. More |

Watkins Glen International September 25, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| Judging from the display along the front straight following the Watkins Glen Indy Grand Prix presented by Argent Mortgage you would have thought an Andretti Green Racing car had just won. Though none of the four AGR drivers walked away with the Watkins Glen Indy G.P trophy, Dan Wheldon did manage to lug back another considerable piece of hardware. By simply starting the race and driving through the halfway mark, Wheldon effectively locked the 2005 IndyCar Series championship with one round left on the calendar. More | |
Chicagoland Speedway September 11, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| After a less than stellar showing at Sonoma the Target Chip Ganassi Racing crew was hoping for a promising weekend at Chicagoland Speedway for the PEAK Antifreeze Indy 300. All started well enough for Chip Ganassi’s team as Ryan Briscoe looked set to collect his second pole of the season. Much to Ganassi’s dismay, however, his three entries were disqualified after failing tech inspection and had to start from the back of the grid. Danica Patrick inherited pole while TCGR never seemed to recover from the major set back. More | |
Infineon Raceway August 28, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| Following a successful outing on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida, the Indy Racing League made its penultimate appearance on a circuit featuring left and right turns when it visited Infineon Raceway for the Argent Mortgage Indy Grand Prix. Plenty of road-racing purists were happy to see the series visit a proper road-course featuring elevation changes and plenty of run-off rather than another street-course, otherwise known as a concrete canyon. Pikes Peak International Raceway August 21, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| Comfortably leading an openwheel championship in the closing stages of a season that has already seen four trips to victory lane typically means cruise control for the remaining rounds. Simply ask the IRL’s defending champion Tony Kanaan; Kanaan’s more impressive performances came in the first half of last season and complimented a steady tail end. More | |

Michigan International Speedway July 31, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| It's tough to stay in the spotlight when driving alongside Ashley Judd's husband, the defending IRL champion and this year's Indy 500 winner. Making matters worse for Bryan Herta is that the Californian is essentially the Andretti Green Racing lab rat, testing anything from questionable pit strategy to atypical pieces of carbon fiber. The Milwaukee Mile July 24, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| The brazen select who would ever say no to A.J. Foyt are few and far between. None were found at the A.J. Foyt 225 held at the famed Milwaukee Mile as Foyt brought the field to life with the most famous words in motorsports. One could make an argument for rookie Ryan Briscoe, although he was sitting on the sidelines due to precaution rather than rebellion following a hard shunt before the race. More | |
Nashville Superspeedway July 16, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| Most teams in racing have a difficult time finding a way into victory lane. Quite the opposite applies to defending Indy Racing League champions, Andretti Green Racing. AGR dominates on and off the track with a stellar group of talent stemming from owners Kim Green and Michael Andretti that has formulated into one of the most dominating teams in IndyCar history. | For the last few months it seems Spiderman has been keeping a very low profile going about his business behind the shadows of his fellow superheroes. In fact, not since last October had Spidey made a public appearance. Unsettled with life outside the spotlight, he made his triumphant return to the delight of thousands at the Richmond International Raceway. More | |

Indianapolis Motor Speedway May 29, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| Headed into the 89th running of the Indianapolis 500 there were a slew of topics contending for the public’s recognition; veterans Jeff Ward, Jimmy Kite and former winner Buddy Lazier were back, Champ Car World Series Champion Sebastien Bourdais was making his debut at the Brickyard, Sam Hornish Jr. would be vying for the elusive Borg Warner, Kenny Brack substituting for defending champ Buddy Rice, and of course there was rookie Danica Patrick who had just come off an impressive showing at Motegi. | Some drivers have bad luck, others worse. However, every few years or so one or two joins the likes of the Andrettis; Mario of course never won Le Mans while Michael hopes to finally add an Indy victory as an owner. While drivers oftentimes have a difficult time with their initial break-through win, Tomas Scheckter just cannot seem to pull it together for that elusive second victory. More | |

Streets of St. Petersburg April 3 , 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
Some hailed it as the arrival of the Four Horsemen, others saw a fantastic opening as Champ Car faltered into the present millennium, but on Sunday April 3rd 2005 the Indy Racing League made its first competitive right turn on the streets of St. Petersburg Florida. With a great deal of momentum building up to the Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, it seemed most were at a loss when trying to materialize the impending opening lap of the event, let alone the entire race. Phoenix International Raceway March 19, 2005 Race Recap by Esteban Morales |
| With threatening skies looming in the near distance Bryan Herta promptly led the field to the start of the XM Satellite Radio Indy 200 after picking up his first career IRL pole. One of the more unforgiving ovals on the schedule, the Phoenix International Raceway leaves few if any margins for error. This didn’t seem to hinder Dan Wheldon as the young Britton made a dash for the lead on the opening lap while teammate and defending champion, Tony Kanaan, remarkably made up twelve positions on the same lap after starting 21st due to an engine change. With the onset of a new season come a slew of possible surprises. The Indy Racing League has been no exception with a number of changes transforming its image for its tenth season of competition.
