Part timers Will Power and Nelson Philippe saw their weekend at the Indy Grand Prix of Sonoma curtailed following a serious incident prior to the race. During a practice session, Philippe spun and was t-boned by Power. Both suffered significant injuries but are expected to make full recoveries. More |

The “Thrill from West Hill,” Paul Tracy, injected some needed excitement into the IndyCar season by nearly scoring a win in Toronto after qualifying deep in the field. Despite almost claiming the win, the Canadian went out in typical Tracy style, with a crash. More |

The closing laps of the Camping World Grand Prix at Watkins Glen International featured a familiar site. Team Penske’s Ryan Briscoe battled a loose Dallara as he tried to fend off Target Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon. Behind Dixon was Briscoe’s teammate, Helio Castroneves. More |

In a bid to improve its on-track product, the IndyCar Series has announced a variety of aerodynamic options for 1.5-mile ovals that will take effect later this season. Teams will now have the option of using tire ramps, sidepod extensions, and brake backing plates. More |

Following a dull showing at the Texas Motor Speedway, the IndyCar Series was back on form in Iowa for the Iowa Corn Indy 250. Indy 500 winner Helio Castroneves started from pole after the grid was set based on entrant points due to wet weather during qualifying. The event got off to a rocky start when E.J. Viso and Robert Doornbos spun while exiting Turn 4 on the opening lap. More |

After a sensational month at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Helio Castroneves was humbled at The Milwaukee Mile. An accident during qualifying set the tone for Castroneves’ run during the ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt 225. Despite starting last, Castroneves salvaged an 11th place finish in what he called “a long day.” More |

Helio Castroneves dramatically earned his third victory at the Brickyard. After having been acquitted of tax evasion charges in April, Castroneves returned to the cockpit of an IndyCar and began building momentum leading up to the 500. At Long Beach Castroneves finished in the top ten. More |
